Waterproofing in buildings is the formation of an impervious barrier over surfaces of foundations, roofs, walls and other structural members of buildings to prevent water penetrations through these surfaces. Water penetration through these surfaces will compromise the structural integrity of the substrate, causing more damage and leading to more extensive repairs.
